The War Memorial at Staithes in North Yorkshire, England. The memorial commemorates those who lost their lives in service during the First and Second World Wars. The Roll of Honour is extensive and includes soldiers and personnel from the Navy, Mercantile Service and woman Munitions worker during the First World War. The list from the Second World War includes, soldiers and personnel from the RAF and the Merchant Navy. An inscription on the second tier of the pedestal reads; Staithes War Memorial, To perpetuate the memory of those who made the supreme sacrifice for King and country during the Great War 1914-1918. The War Memorial is located near to the top of the village, close to the Captain Cook Inn.
